Problem
A reorganization of the firm and a new office location in Chicago prompted Cohen, Rosenson & Zuckerman, a long time client of Duo Consulting, to seek a new design for their website. Their old site had been sufficient for providing them an online presence, but now they sought to become more aggressive in their effort to attract clients consistent with their business model requiring legal assistance in Chicago.
Solutions
- Design: Starting with a new firm logo design and a refresh of the site’s look and feel, imagery was added to the site to indicate the firm’s orientation to the Chicago business community.
- Site Architecture: Duo implemented a site architecture that features the three elements the firm identified as most important to securing business. This included simplified access to each attorney’s profile, prominent emphasis of the firm’s focus on corporate transactions, real estate and business succession and estate planning, and their affiliation with Lawyers Associated Worldwide (LAW), an international network of independent law firms.
- Content Management: Each page of the site may be easily updated with current information by the client using Adobe Contribute, an easy to use page content management tool.
- Search Marketing: The informative content on each page is complemented with effective population of “meta content” which supports the firm’s interest in gaining search engine referral traffic.
- Interactivity & Viral Marketing: The style sheet for each page is now constructed to support a more practical appearance when printed. An email-this-page option permits site visitors to easily share the website with colleagues who have an interest.
Results
- From the client’s perspective and feedback, the new design helped convert the firm’s image online from a small Chicago law firm to a boutique Chicago-based law firm of seasoned attorney’s handling high-value business transactions with local, national and international significance.
- International visitors to the site referred from the firm’s LAW affiliation are greeted with a landing page customized to their interest and a direct link to the firm’s partner who they should contact.
- Site traffic has grown dramatically, largely as a result of relevant, qualified search engine referrals more than doubling.
